The Church teaches us that the celebration of the liturgy is the “source and summit of the Christian life” (Lumen gentium, 11)
These days, though, the simple truth is that most of our young people live and learn the liturgy through our schools, rather than our parishes. It’s our teachers who are, by default, charged with handing on our tradition of prayer and liturgy to a new generation.

To support our teachers in this invaluable mission we are creating the Teach Us to Pray programme: An accessible and practical guide to Prayer & Liturgy for Catholic Schools.
The programme format is a series of modular, stand-alone, mini-courses on various aspects of music, prayer and liturgy. In each module, Jo Boyce presents Church teaching, liturgical principles and practical tips in a way that is engaging, experiential and prayerful.
What CJM has always been good at doing is holding on faithfully to our tradition of prayer and liturgy, while giving it contemporary expression. This resource is about helping staff in our schools to do the same, to bring the liturgy to life for our young people.
“Jesus was praying in a certain place, and after he had finished,
one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray…”
