An joyful burst of praise in an irresistibly catchy 5/4 time signature.

LYRICS
Sing of the Lord’s goodness,
Father of all wisdom,
come to him and bless his name.
Mercy he has shown us,
his love is for ever,
faithful to the end of days.Come, then, all you nations,
sing of the Lord’s goodness,
melodies of praise and thanks to God.
Ring out the Lord’s glory,
praise him with your music,
worship him and bless his name.Power he has wielded, honour is his garment,
risen from the snares of death.
His word he has spoken,
one bread he has broken,
new life he now gives to all.Come, then, all you nations,
sing of the Lord’s goodness,
melodies of praise and thanks to God.
Ring out the Lord’s glory,
praise him with your music,
worship him and bless his name.…

I grew up in a church where we sang this a lot but apart from it being rather rousing it didn’t mean much to me and seemed somewhat dramatic. A quarter-century later after a journey studying and understand the bible and the gospel of Christ, I understand that praising God with such joy that you want to sing and dance is only possible because Jesus has died to set us free from Sin that we cannot escape, and resurrected to show us that he has defeated death for us all. He will return in glory and all nations will worship and praise, and in that prophecy we hope and rejoice with all our hearts.
