For the first time in a few years our Prepare the Way Advent & Christmas Concert will be going beyond the borders of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. In less that a month we will be sharing an evening of festive, faith-filled music in Wallasey, Solihull and Liverpool.

We have to admit, it feels like it’s come around a little too quickly this year. After the bitter-sweet excitement of releasing and touring with Jo’s first solo CD recording, In God Alone, the past few months have been a bit hectic, and we almost forgot how quickly cool Autumn evenings turn into dark Winter nights.

It’s a little ironic that we find ourselves under-prepared for this wonderful season of preparation. One of the main reasons we celebrate Advent at all, is to remind ourselves to be awake and ready for the coming of The One for whom we long. (And we don’t mean Santa!)

We’ll try to resist the commercial clangour of Christmas for just a few weeks more, and allow ourselves to embrace the glorious “purple-ness” of Advent. However, concert day is in just a few weeks time and will be here before you know it – so it would be a good idea to get those tickets booked now.
