Written for the 2001 conference on “Global Capitalism and the Gospel of Justice” this Gospel Acclamation is joyful and uplifting. We have recorded the refrain as we most often use it – with the optional four-fold “alleluia”, rather than the published text “Alleluia! Alleluia! Raise the Gospel over the earth”.
LYRICS
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Alleluia! Alleluia!(2x)Blessed, those whose hearts are gentle,
Blessed, those whose spirits are strong.
Blessed, those who choose to bring forth right where there is wrong!
Blessed, those who work for justice,
Blessed, those who answer the call.
Blessed, those who dare to dream of lasting peace for all!…
