The Easter Vigil [Year A, B, C]

The Easter Triduum continues with The Easter Vigil. It is indeed the “mother of all holy vigils”, to commemorate that holy night when the Lord rose from the dead.

Responsorial Psalm the easter vigil

The readings during Liturgy of the Word in the second part of the Vigil give the account of the outstanding deeds of the history of salvation, and there is a responsorial psalm after each reading.

  1. Thank you for the beautiful music here, which I will use for the services next week, to prepare our students at school for Holy Week. Beautifully sung Psalms! Hannah

  2. Thank you so much for sharing theses great psalms. Leading the music for our Easter Vigil for the first time ever so thank you, thank you, thank you!

  3. Thank you for sharing these psalms. I am often searching for something different. This year, My choir will be able to add some freshness to our collection of Easer music. Thanks again.

    1. You’re so welcome, Priscilla. We hope all goes well with your choir as you prepare for the wonderful Easter liturgies. God bless.

  4. Hi, First time I am leading the music for Easter and would like to know if these are free to use or do I need to buy a licence?

    1. The psalms are covered by CCLI and OneLicence, so if you *do* have a licence that’s great – it helps to support our work and ministry. However, we have provided them freely here as a gift to the church – so please don’t let the lack of a licence prevent you for using them. Every blessing.

  5. Thank you for sharing the psalms, complete with melody line, chords and audio. Greatly helpful to our Parish choir with the hymns for our Easter Vigil mass.
