One of the primary focusses our our work and ministry these days is formation for prayer and liturgy. Coming in up in the autumn term, Jo Boyce will be presenting a twilight CPD course entitled The Art of Liturgical Prayer.
Jo Boyce will explore how to create meaningful non-Eucharist liturgies that engage young people and help them to understand the Church’s tradition of liturgical prayer. Sharing her own decades of practical hands-on experience.
This session is open to anyone with responsibility for prayer and liturgy in the context of a Catholic School, and we’ve planned it as a twilight course to fit conveniently around the school day.
It’s the first time in quite a while that we’ve taken the initiative to put on a course ourselves. But we really wanted to provide and opportunity for face-to-face formation for those whose Dioceses or Trusts haven’t been able to get Jo for their course schedules this coming academic year.
And to make it accessible for those who will find a journey to Birmingham a bit of a jaunt the course will also be live-streamed via Zoom. So there’s no excuse to miss it really.
Of course, the in-person experience is definitely where maximum benefit will be gained, as we journey, learn, pray and sing together. But remember, in-person places are limited by venue capacity, so register early to secure your spot.
