LYRICS

The King of love my shepherd is
Whose goodness faileth never
I nothing lack if I am His
And He is mine forever
And He is mine forever

Where streams of living water flow
My ransomed soul He leadeth
And where the verdant pastures grow
With food celestial feedeth
With food celestial feedeth

Perverse and foolish oft I strayed
But yet in love He sought me
And on His shoulder gently laid
And home, rejoicing, brought me
And home, rejoicing, brought me

In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
With thee dear Lord beside me
Thy rod and staff my comfort still
Thy cross before to guide me
Thy cross before to guide me

And so through all the length of days
Thy goodness faileth never
Good shepherd may I sing thy praise
Within Thy house forever
Within Thy house forever

  1. Hiya, my Grandmother passed away and is to buried on 27th December and she loved your version of the King of Love, she asked for me to sing it at her funeral but the piano we feel is far too harsh for it when I play and my dad asked me whether or not there is any chance we could have the backing track to the piece.
It’s one of my absolute favourites too.
I know it’s a huge ask, it would make the service very special for us all if you could.
    Yours in faith
    Clare
