Is the Mass Changing?

Is the Mass Changing?

Celebrating the Mass & Exploring the Revised Translation

The key to a good celebration of liturgy in School or Parish is “full, active and conscious participation”. With the introduction of new Mass texts imminent we have a unique opportunity to gain new insights into ‘how the liturgy works’ and discover new resources and Mass Settings which will help lift the texts off the page.

Who should attend
This course is for anyone involved or interested in Liturgy – particulary those who have responsibility for planning and preparing liturgies within the context of a Catholic school.

St Thérèse of Lisieux – Child of Grace

St Thérèse of Lisieux – Child of Grace

“The only way I can prove my love is by scattering flowers and these flowers are every little sacrifice, every glance and word, and the doing of the least actions for love.”

At the request of Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor and the bishops of England and Wales, the relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux will be visiting the UK from 16th September to 16th October 2009. Boyce & Stanley will be involved with the music for the liturgies when the relics visit the Archdiocese of Birmingham on 19th September at St Chad’s Cathedral, and 21st September at the parish of Sacred Heart & St Teresa in Coleshill.

To mark the visit of the relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux to England and Wales Mike Stanley has written, recorded and produced two special tracks: Child of Grace (Thérèse) and My Song of Today.  Both songs are available on the four-track, limited edition EP entitled “Child of Grace” .

“My Song of Today and Child of Grace
capture the simplicity of St Thérèse and
will help all pilgrims pray more deeply.

CJM Music have captured
the spirit of the visit of the Relics of
St Thérèse in words and music. I am sure
that they will be used in our churches long
after the Relics have left our shores.”

Music for the Masses…

Music for the Masses…
This summer, Boyce & Stanley continue their pilgrimage of thanksgiving, sharing songs that have been on the lips of more than three generations of worshippers.

The duo are visiting more than a dozen parishes within their home Archdiocese of Birmingham to lead the music for some of the weekend Masses.

In many respects, this work of helping parishes find a voice in worship through skilled and sensitive music ministry, is closest to the heart of the cjm mission and vision.

Touring the parishes and being able to serve in this way is a real privilege and blessing.
